A Message from the Principal

Wadsworth STEM is a PreK-8 STEM school dedicated to fostering innovation and excellence. Our theme, “Believing Excellence is Attainable, We Are Developing Tomorrow’s Innovators,” reflects our commitment to empowering students for future success. Recognized by the State of Illinois for school improvement and achieving a prestigious Level 1+ School rating, we prioritize Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) as essential to our students' academic growth. Classrooms are equipped with multiple student computers, and we boast state-of-the-art Apple and PC computer labs. These labs focus on enhancing Math and Reading skills through programs such as I-Ready Math, Khan Academy, I-Ready Reading, and Accelerated Reader. Additionally, our STEM Innovation Lab and dynamic Media Lab provide students access to cutting-edge multimedia and engineering software, encouraging them to think critically and design future prototypes. Our new Makerspace offers a collaborative, creative environment where students engage in hands-on STEM projects and activities. Every K-8 student is equipped with an iPad, Chromebook, or laptop during instructional time, and all classrooms feature smart boards or interactive monitors to create an engaging, hands-on learning experience. These technologies empower students to explore concepts in innovative ways, ensuring they are prepared to excel in an ever-evolving world.
