McPherson IB World School is an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) school serving students in PreK to Grade 8. We are the neighborhood public school for students and families living in the Ravenswood and Lincoln Square communities of Chicago. Attendance boundaries for our school are determined by Chicago Board of Education.

Our school also serves students, regardless of attendance boundary, who are accepted into our specialized academic programs, which include: Early Childhood, Regional Gifted Center, Low-Incidence Cluster, and Multi-Sensory Cluster.

McPherson IB World School is dedicated to cultivating a vibrant community rooted in global citizenship and academic excellence. We prioritize the social-emotional needs of international-minded learners through an inquiry-based process that encourages success for all. Aligned with the Chicago Public Schools' mission, we are committed to providing a high-quality public education that prepares every child for success in college, career, and civic life, regardless of their neighborhood. As an International Baccalaureate (IB) school, we embrace the IB mission to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people fostering intercultural understanding and respect. Together, we nurture a community of active, compassionate, and lifelong learners who celebrate diversity and contribute to a better and more peaceful world.
