A Message from the Principal

Medgar Evers Fine and Performing Arts School offers a standards-based curriculum focused on college, career and civic life. We provide and maintain a climate wherein ALL students can develop intellectually, emotionally, artistically and socially to their fullest potential.  Students have the opportunity to explore their creative abilities by participating in drama, visual arts, dance, band, choir, music, sports and enrichment activities. Through a strong family commitment and partnership between school and community, we strive to develop students that are life-long learners and productive global citizens. We live by our 3 C's, compassion, commitment and champions for children. Partnerships include University of Illinois Urbana, Project Promise, Touch of Wholeness, Children's Literacy Initiative, Forward Momentum Chicago, West Point School of Music, Uniting Voices Choir, Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Raw Talent Performing Arts. Medgar Evers Fine and Performing Arts School will offer children a rigorous, joyful and equitable school experience!
