School Overview

Jane Addams is a Personalized Learning School. As a Personalized learning school, we utilize a learner-driven instructional model that fosters 21st century skills by empowering every student to actively co-design their learning path, pace, and environment according to their individual needs, strengths and interests, including a modified Comprehensive Gifted Program. Jane Addams provides a rigorous academic approach that is student-centered, data driven, and promotes a positive learning environment for students, teachers, and the community. We provide students access to extracurricular opportunities such as STEM, sports, music, academic support, student mentoring, and an engaging after school OST Program. We value building parent involvement through our BAC, PAC and PTO committees to empower families with the knowledge and resources to be successful. We have partnerships with the Museum of Science and Industry, Algebra Hub with Virtual Academy, Tutor Corp, Donors Choose, Project Syncere and ENpowered Games as well as Teach Plus.
