A Message from the Principal

A Message from the Principal

Welcome to Robert A. Black Magnet School, a Leader in Me School, where we are committed to "Building Tomorrow's Leaders." As the proud principal of this prestigious institution, I am honored to serve a community that exemplifies excellence in education, collaboration, and achievement. Our school is guided by four core values: leadership, equity, rigor, and collaboration. These values shape our approach to fostering an inclusive environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive academically and socially. At Black, we pride ourselves on delivering instruction that challenges our students to excel. Our curriculum is designed to teach students a grade level above in reading and math, ensuring they are prepared to meet and exceed academic standards. We also offer a specialized gifted middle school science program and provide high school algebra for our 8th graders, ensuring students are equipped with advanced skills that prepare them for future academic success. Our magnet focus is math and science, and we are dedicated to nurturing curiosity, critical thinking, and innovation in these fields. Through hands-on learning, inquiry-based projects, and collaborative problem-solving, our students develop the skills necessary to excel in a rapidly changing world. I am incredibly proud to lead a school that values academic excellence, leadership, and strong partnerships with parents, staff, and the broader community. Together, we are creating a supportive environment where students are empowered to become confident leaders, problem solvers, and lifelong learners.
