Our Annual Week of Tech Training

Googlepalooza is a week-long virtual training event designed for CPS educators, school-based staff, and central office employees. The event offers 50-minute sessions on a wide range of topics—from instructional technology and Google tools to SEL, Skyline, AI in education, and District tech initiatives. It’s a unique opportunity to build practical skills, discover new tools, and collaborate with peers—all with the goal of supporting student success.

Event Details

  • When: Monday, August 10 to Friday, August 14, 2026
  • Where: This year's event is entirely virtual
  • Who: CPS educators, school-based staff and central office staff are invited to attend
  • How to Register: Event registration will open in late May and session registration will open in late July. An email will go out when registration is open.

Googlepalooza Credit Recovery

25 ISBE Credit Hours

With this entirely virtual event, you’ll have the flexibility to attend as many sessions as you wish and earn up to 25 ISBE credit hours for attending sessions throughout the week.

Dilla

Keynote Speaker

Shermann "Dilla" Thomas is a Chicago historian, cultural worker, and public employee who has gained recognition as a social media influencer, particularly on TikTok, for his engaging short videos about Chicago history. A lifelong resident of Chicago's South Side, Thomas is known for his tagline, "Everything Dope About America Comes from Chicago." Thomas has been recognized with awards such as the 2022 Tourism Ambassador of the Year by Choose Chicago and the Chicago Public Library Foundation's 21st Century Award. He also co-founded the Chicago Mahogany Foundation, dedicated to preserving and sharing the city's history and culture.
