Course Overview
In this course, students are given the tools to investigate who they are and the community and world around them through the lenses of history, geography, economy, and government. In each unit, they will explore how people share similarities and differences with others in communities near and far. Learners are encouraged to explore how communities face different challenges in meeting their needs and wants. They will learn about ways in which people interact with the world around them and explore ways they can impact their own world, including their classroom, family, and community.
