9.2.12 IP Video Door Intercom and Security System

• These guidelines provide information to assist in the design of the IP Video Door Intercom and Security System.
• The IP Integrated Video Door Intercom and Security System cabling is shown on the Electrical Drawings. Separate T drawings are not to be submitted
• Work Included:
• The design professional shall show the IP Video Intercom locations and termination locations at the nearest MDF/IDF Room or concentrator enclosure

Coordinate and cross-reference related sections:

• General Conditions and Division 1 Specifications. 
• Related Division 26-XX-XX, 27-XX-XX & 28-XX-XX.

• Provide a backbox and security cover, provided by IP Video Door Intercom manufacturer, with a yellow jack, conduit and wiring for IP Video Door Intercom and Security stations at the following door locations:
• Front Entry Door
• Kitchen Entry Door
• Delivery/Engineer’s Entry Door
• Each Main Parking Lot Entrance
• Modular Main Door & Closest Main Building Entrance Door
• Provide an outlet box with a yellow jack, conduit and wiring for IP Video Door Intercom and Security stations the following master station locations:
• Main Office
• Kitchen Office
• Engineer’s Office
• Security Desk
• Principal’s office

• For each door or master intercom station provide a CAT 6e cable in a 3/4” conduit from each station location to the nearest MDF/IDF or concentrator enclosure. Cable may be run in the same conduit as a voice/data outlet. 
• Each cable shall be labeled at each end.
• Use vendor specified backbox for door locations.

Provide a drawing legend for the IP Video Door Intercom and Security System.
