Celebrating Our Educators: Valentine's Day Appreciation Toolkit
13 February 2019
To help make this Valentine’s Day one that our educators will remember, we have created the following resources for you to share with your staff, students, and families.

Dear Principals and Network Chiefs,
As leaders of the district, we play a critical role in developing, motivating, and uplifting our educators, and I can think of no better day to show them our appreciation than Valentine’s Day.
To help make this Valentine’s Day one that our educators will remember, we have created the following resources for you to share with your staff, students, and families:
- Articles to share with educators: (1) Recharging our Professional Batteries: 3 ways to keep the love alive! (2) Happy Teacher Revolution Teacher Sharing Community
- Self-care resources for principals to use with staff and for teachers to use with students
- Videos to share with educators: World Without Teachers or Student Perspective of her Teacher TedX
- Valentine’s Day “Shout Outs” that students, staff, or parents can complete for educators (pages 2-5)
Please post your shout outs on your school’s website and/or social media using the suggested hashtag #thebestarewithCPS @ChiPubSchools on Twitter or Chicago Public Schools on Facebook.
We all know that a simple “thank you” can go a long way, and I hope you will join us in showing appreciation for our educators on Valentine’s Day. I look forward to seeing your posts across the CPS social media community!
