District Investments

CPS is helping all schools improve by directing resources where they are needed most. Every school is guaranteed equitable resources and staffing regardless of school type, location, or number of students enrolled. Schools receive additional resources based on their unique needs and to support the school’s priorities.

Our Approach

CPS is prioritizing the needs of students in each school rather than the number of students in that school as was done in previous years. This change represents a significant improvement, especially for communities that have historically been furthest from opportunity.
Resource Equity

The goal of resource equity is to create equitable student experiences for every child. It is accomplished by consistently prioritizing and allocating people, time, and money to align with levels of need and opportunity.
