How CPS Uses Data

At CPS, our work is focused on ensuring that every student graduates from high school with the skills required to be prepared for college and the 21st century workplace. As a part of these efforts, CPS continually measures the progress our students make. As a district, we use this information to make decisions about where resources and funding should go, and about what types of supports to provide to teachers. We hope that parents also can use this information to make informed decisions about the education of their children.

Check Your Child's Progress

The Parent Portal is a unique web-based tool that allows you to securely view your child's grades and attendance, to register to receive e-mail or text notifications when your child is absent or when his or her grades drop below a point you specify, and to communicate directly with your child's teachers.
