CPS Health Memos

From the desk of
Dr. Kenneth Fox: Chief Health Officer

The Office of Student Health and Wellness (OSHW) aims to eliminate health-related barriers to learning and to advance child health equity in Chicago. In the spirit of providing easy access to information on common health issues that arise in schools, we will provide links to recent memos and guidance issued by my office. We remain curious, vigilant, and engaged in many health issues far beyond those listed.

We are open to questions and conversations about these and other public health issues as they arise. For questions about public benefits (free and low-cost health insurance as well as SNAP benefits) through our school-based benefit enrollment sites, school-based health centers and other sources of health care; reach out to us by calling the Healthy CPS Hotline 773-553-KIDS (5437) or emailing us at oshw@cps.edu.

In health,
