  • LearnWELL is an initiative of Healthy CPS that supports schools in aligning with the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) wellness policies. LearnWELL offers a variety of resources, including step-by-step guides, training sessions and  tips for teachers and parents that can help schools incorporate policy requirements in an effective and engaging way.

CDPH (Healthy Chicago)

  • Sponsored by the Chicago Department of Public Health, Healthy Chicago is an ambitious public health agenda that aims to transform the health and well-being of Chicago by focusing on 12 key priorities: tobacco use, obesity prevention, HIV prevention, adolescent health, cancer disparities, heart disease and stroke, access to care, healthy mothers and babies, communicable disease control and prevention, healthy homes, violence prevention and public health infrastructure.

Office of Nutrition Support Services

  • Nutrition Support Services (NSS) supports Chicago Public Schools' academic community by providing nutritious and appealing meals with superior service to every student, every school day.

Office of Early Childhood Education

  • Early Childhood Education is often children's first exposure outside the home. Research shows that attitudes about nutrition and physical activity develop from a very early age. Early Childhood Education is the ideal opportunity to start building healthy behaviors right from the beginning that will set children up for success as they enter primary school that continues throughout their education.

Office of Diverse Learner Supports and Services

  • The Office of Diverse Learner Supports and Services (ODLSS) provides high quality and specially designed instructional supports and services for all diverse learners within their least restrictive environment. Diverse Learners leads clinical services including school nursing, case management, school social work and school psychology. Families seeking 504 Plans or IEPs for health conditions should contact the Office of Diverse Learner Supports and Services.

Be You Be Healthy

  • Be You Be Healthy develops public and private partnerships to maximize resources and provide necessary health services for children and adolescents, including HIV/STI health education and testing for adolescents, school-based oral health and vision programs, and a teen pregnancy prevention initiative.
