LSC Election Kick-Off Event
Join us to kick-off LSC election season at our virtual event on October 18 at 10 a.m. Register by October 17 to secure your spot.
Parents, teachers, non-teaching staff, students, and community members are invited to learn more about running for their local school LSC for the next term of office. Discover the benefits of joining an LSC and gain insight into the motivations driving our dedicated LSC members. You will also learn how you can be the change you wish to see in our schools and impact our educational community.
Apply to Run in Your LSC Election
CPS is holding District-wide LSC elections, and we want to encourage you to run as a candidate for your school. Students, parents, CPS staff, and community members are invited to apply to become LSC candidates.
Here's what you should know as election season kicks off:
- Application period opens October 20, 2025: Full instructions for applying to run as an LSC candidate will be posted to this page when the period opens. Please check back on October 20 for details.
- Application period closes at 3:00 pm on January 20, 2026: All application materials must be submitted by the deadline to be nominated as a candidate.
- Apply online: This year, CPS will use an online process for candidates to submit their election documents. Instructions for applying will be posted to this page when the application period opens.
- Election day is March 18, 2026: All LSC elections will take place on a single day.
