In an effort to advance equity at CPS, the Business Enterprise Development and Environmental Social Governance department works to:

  • Assure that M/WBE vendors are informed of CPS contracting opportunities
  • Provide M/WBE vendors with relevant information and assistance related to CPS procurement practices and procedures, and bid/proposals specifications and requirements
  • Increase equity in CPS’ procurement activities by ensuring that every contract presented to the board is evaluated for MWBE participation.
  • Monitor and enforce vendor compliance
