High school orientation

Get acquainted with your high school before school starts.

August 24, 2009

When you begin your first year at a new high school, it’s the little things that count. Do you have your class schedule? Can you find all of your classrooms? Do you remember your locker number and combination? (Is it three to the right or three to the left?) What homework is due tomorrow, next week, and next month?

We know the first few days at a new high school can be tough. And that’s why CPS is here to help. High school orientations are taking place all this week throughout the District. Each orientation gives students a chance to walk the halls of their new schools before the first day of class. Students will have an opportunity to learn more about their schools, visit their classrooms, walk through their class schedules, and much, much more.
