Community Partnership Program 

The Office of Early Childhood Education (OECE) collaborates with the Department of Family and Support Services (DFSS) to provide quality early childhood programs to children and families in Chicago. The funds for this program come from the state Early Childhood Block Grant, through the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). Services are provided for children ages birth to five, and are delivered using the following ISBE approved program models;

  • Preschool for All (PFA)
  • Prevention Initiative Center Based (PI CB)
  • Prevention Initiative Home Visiting (PI HV)

Program Quality

All Community Partnership Programs are a part of ExceleRate Illinois, the state Quality Rating and Improvement System. ExceleRate Illinois gives programs a framework to make continuous quality improvements to their programs and to be recognized for their quality achievements.
