Parent Support Center

Our Mission

The mission of the Parent Support Center is to ensure parents are empowered through equitable access to high quality services, accurate information and timely resolution of all inquiries and concerns. The Parent Support Center is aligned with the District’s Three Year Vision, 2016-2019, "Commitment #3: Integrity. Parents must be empowered as leaders who can advocate for their children and their respective school communities", with the goal of initiating and orchestrating strong partnerships, which include trust earned through transparent engagement, allowing District’s collective impact and expertise to best support student success.

Our Vision

The vision of the Parent Support Centers (PSCs) is to promote transparency, while addressing parent inquiries and requests for assistance in a timely and equitable manner. By leveraging strategic external partners and working in cooperation with internal departments, Parent Support Center Administrators will catalog and deliver valuable information for parents and guardians. (One-Stop-Shop Model).

Our Structure

Parent Support Centers offer a collaborative team approach to reviewing parent inquiries and concerns and to work in partnership to achieve an equitable resolution.

Network Executives Assistants enter parent inquiries and concerns into a ticket management system. Inquiries and concerns that are not resolved at the Network level will be escalated to a Parent Support Administrator at the Network.

Decisions and resolutions are governed by the Illinois School Code, Chicago Board of Education Policies and Procedures, and local school guidelines and procedures.
