Intergovernmental Affairs 


The Department of Intergovernmental Affairs represents the interests of the Chicago Public Schools and the students it serves before other governmental bodies, including the City of Chicago, the Illinois General Assembly and various state offices. These services include working with the many schools and departments at CPS to provide information on CPS programs and initiatives to public officials and agencies. The Department of Intergovernmental Affairs also maintains an office in Washington D.C. to represent the district at the federal legislative and administrative level.
