Media and Communication Arts

Pathways in Media and Communication Arts provide students with the opportunity to learn about the ever-growing array of new media forms.

Students who are interested in applying their artistic talent to practical real-world problems or who want to be a producer, director, journalist, website designer, video game programmer, or multimedia artist can explore their interests and find the right career path for them.

Pathways

Broadcast Technology

Students in the Broadcast Technology pathway learn the fundamentals of working in front of the camera, as well as what goes on behind the scenes. Students write scripts, create public service announcements, design visual materials, participate in local and national competitions, and study broadcasting operations and management.

Digital Media

Students are introduced to the ever growing array of new media forms.  Students who are interested in becoming producers, directors, journalists, website designers, and multimedia artists can explore their interests in these pathways.
