CPS is currently working on the development of our District’s next Five-Year Strategic Plan, with a goal to submit a plan for approval by the Chicago Board of Education in the summer of 2024. Bridging From Our Past to Our Future
The Five-Year Strategic Plan builds on our existing vision for the District by connecting our past and future. The Strategic Plan will use core components of the existing CPS Blueprint, which guides the District through the end of School Year 2025.

Community Engagement
Community engagement will be the foundation for CPS’ upcoming five-year strategic plan, which will contain comprehensive recommendations for facility improvements. CPS’ community engagement practices draw from the District’s Equity Framework and are grounded in human-centered design practices.
