CPS is launching a YouTube channel to complement its ongoing efforts to engage parents in our efforts to help all students succeed in the classroom. To help kick off the channel, CEO Brizard participated in a webcast during which he answered questions about the full school day that were submitted by CPS parents via video, Facebook and Twitter. Click here to view the webcast.
In addition to webcasts with the CEO and CPS leadership, the CPS YouTube channel will highlight videos about district initiatives, as well as educational videos and instructional tools to support teachers in the classroom.
In order to create a robust set of online video resources, CPS asked for the support of our teachers throughout the district, representing subject areas such as chemistry, history, social studies and foreign languages. Many have sent their favorite educational YouTube videos to the CPS Office of Educational Technology, which will curate the videos into a playlist to be shared on the CPS YouTube page.
