The first day at a new high school can be stressful, but you can help avoid some of the anxiety by being well prepared. Do you remember your locker number and combination? (Is it three to the right or three to the left?) What homework is due tomorrow, next week, and next month? Having your class schedule on hand and knowing where each of your classrooms are located are just a few of the things that can help you feel at ease.
We know the first few days at a new high school can be tough. And that’s why CPS is here to help. High school orientations are taking place all this week throughout the District. Each orientation gives students a chance to walk the halls of their new schools before the first day of class. Students will have an opportunity to learn more about their schools, visit their classrooms, walk through their class schedules, and much, much more.
