Spook-tacular fashion show

Darwin Elementary students hit the runway to show off their best Halloween outfits.

November 09, 2009

The latest looks in scary, spooky, and silly were on display during Darwin Elementary School’s ninth annual Freaky Fashion show.

Hot off the runway ensembles such as butterflies, werewolves, vampires, and monsters, were modeled by K-2 students during an invitation-only Halloween parade.

Exclusive, front row seats were given to students in grades 4-8, who had nothing but applause for the fall fashions featured in the parade. Costume contests were later held for students in grades 3-5 and 6-8.

The yearly event is designed to encourage school spirit and recognize student achievement while having a little educational fun. All 700 elementary students were encouraged to participate.
