Preschool for All 

Preschool for All ensures that all preschool children are prepared to succeed in school and in life. The program offers a minimum of 2.5 hours a day of preschool programming for three- and four-year-olds. Preschool for All is designed to promote a comprehensive approach to early childhood development. It encourages collaboration among providers and other community stakeholders to foster creative strategies to meet the complete needs of young children and their families.

Overview

Preschool for All is an expansion of the State Pre-kindergarten program. The 2.5-hour preschool program is open to all three- and four-year-old children.

 

Curriculum

Students will begin to develop basic reading, writing, and math skills.

 

Attendance boundaries

None. Students across the city may apply.

Enrollment requirements

  • Children must be at least three years of age, but not yet five on or before September 1st of the current school year.
  • Families must reside within the City of Chicago.

 

Acceptance criteria

Proof of residency must be provided prior to completing an interest form.
