Overview
The Attendance Improvement and Truancy Intervention initiative supports the district's goal of ensuring that every child in every school is on track in his or her CPS career to graduate prepared for success in post-secondary education and employment. We will achieve this by raising the system-wide attendance rate to 95%.
The Attendance Improvement and Truancy Intervention initiative aims to motivate and support the students, parents, staff, and community to increase daily attendance in order to enhance the academic success of students.
Goals
- Raise the system-wide average daily attendance rate to 95%
- Support every school in achieving a 1% gain in attendance from the previous school year
- Increase submitted attendance rate
