Overview
Mayor Daley's Keep Kids Learning (KKL) program is a comprehensive summer school program that provides 2nd – 8th grade students the opportunity for academic, recreation and social enrichment. The program enables participating schools offering mandatory summer school to enrich and expand their offerings into the afternoon period, as well as expand services to those students not mandated to attend summer school. In addition to the morning 4 hour and 15 min. academic period Mon-Thurs., participating schools must commit an additional 3 hours of programming each day, for 6 weeks beginning June 16th and ending July 24th.
