The 2010-2011 Chicago Public School elementary, preschool, and high school directories are now available.
School directories are just one of the many tools created by CPS to assist parents and students as they make decisions regarding which CPS schools they are interested in attending. In addition to the printed directories, CPS recommends that parents also utilize our online directory which allows you to find schools based on type, size, zone and grade level.
You can download or view our directories below. Or to request a printed copy of the High school or Elementary and Preschool school directory, please call Communications at 773-553-1620. Directories will also be available over the next few weeks in public libraries and schools.
Online directory
Everything you need to know about a Chicago Public School you can find online at www.cps.edu. Within just a few simple clicks you can learn about a school’s before and after school program, view its scorecard data, check out its weekly recycling report, or compare it to other schools in the District. Follow these steps to learn more about our unique compare a school feature:
- Select the Schools button located at the top left-hand corner of every page.
- Next, select Find a school. Under Search options, select details about the type of school you are looking for. Then select the Find button.
- On the search results page, you will see a list of schools that meet the criteria you selected on the previous page.
- You can view information about one school, or compare information about up to four schools. (Please note: You can only compare up to four schools per page. Once you move to the next page you will have to select four different schools for comparison.)
- Once you’ve selected the schools you’d like to compare, click the Compare button at either the top or bottom of the page.
- Now you’ll see a list of schools you can compare facts about ranging from grades served to scorecards to weekly recycling reports.
