Department of Literacy: Libraries

Libraries in CPS

School libraries have changed a lot over the years, but they remain an important hub in the school to support reading, learning, and research. Students can browse shelves of print books to find topics of interest to them. They can use computers, mobile devices, and other technologies to access online resources and create digital resources to share their learning. The school library is a place to read, collaborate, design, and share.

About Us

The Department of Literacy: Libraries provides district-wide support for school libraries. Check out the resources below to learn how you children can browse books from their school libraries and access online digital books and reference materials from the CPS SOAR Virtual Library. Use the Suggestion Box to let us know what new materials your children would like to read.
