The 2009 summer reading list is available. The list is designed to encourage students to keep reading throughout the summer. All books on the summer reading lists are available at your local library for free. All you need is a library card to check out a book.
We didn’t forget about you either, parents. Research now clearly links parent reading and literacy with student reading and literacy. To encourage the entire family to keep reading, CPS created
Parent Picks, a list of books targeted toward parents. The goal is for both parents and students to visit our local libraries, select books that interest them, and create reading time at home.
