The CPS 2010 Summer Reading List, which will be delivered to all elementary schools the second week in June, was developed for grades PreK - 8 by the CPS Department of Libraries and Information Services and the Chicago Public Library Children's Services Department. The list is designed to encourage students to keep reading throughout the summer and complements the Chicago Public Library's eight-week summer reading program, Reading is Art-RAGEOUS !

The books in this list can be found at many neighborhood branches of the Chicago Public Library (CPL). Readers can use the CPL website , to read descriptions of the titles on the list, locate books at specific branches, and refer to the library’s “How Do I…?” page to learn how to get a library card and place holds on books or other materials.

 2010 Summer Reading List
