Public Meetings Being Held For Comment On Charter School Proposals 


Board of Education Hosting Community Meetings for Public Comment On Charter Proposals
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
September 1, 2015

The Chicago Board of Education is hosting three Community Public Meetings to receive public comment from educators, parents, students and the public regarding charter school proposals submitted to the Chicago Board of Education for:


  • Noble Street Network

  • STARS Project Engineering Academy

  • KIPP Chicago

  • New Life Academy

  • Perseid


The hearings will be held at Daley College, Olive Harvey College and Malcolm X College from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Registration to speak will occur between 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Speakers will have two minutes to speak and will be called in the order in which they have signed up.  The hearings will conclude after the last person who has signed up to present testimony has spoken, or at 9:00 p.m., whichever occurs first.


Anyone who would like to provide written comments may submit them to the Office of Innovation and Incubation, by mail at 42 W. Madison Street, 3rd Floor Chicago, IL 60602, by email at nac@cps.edu, by facsimile at 773.553.3225, or by calling 773.553.1530. The record will remain open for these comments until 12 p.m. Friday, September 11th, 2015.
